Surface treatment

Coating

Zinc phosphate coating and electrophoretic lacquer coating processes are carried out at Yorulmaz Yay. Cr+3 zinc coating, black oxide coating, galvanized coating, nickel coating, electrostatic powder paint and cataphoresis paint processes are also carried out. Special coating and paint processes required by our customers’ own processes are likewise applied.

Zinc Phosphatizing
01

Zinc Phosphatizing

Phosphating is a surface treatment and preparation process. Metal surfaces free from oil, rust, grease and oxide layers are treated with a metal phosphate solution to create an insoluble phosphate layer on the surface.

The process is used especially on iron and steel surfaces, and can also be applied to aluminium, zinc, cadmium and magnesium surfaces.

It is used together with paint and polymer film coatings to protect metals from corrosion; in cold forming operations such as wire drawing, tube drawing and deep drawing; and together with protective oils and waxes for corrosion protection.

Our phosphate coating unit for steel wire and products is an automated system with 8 tanks.

Electrophoretic Lacquer Coating
02

Electrophoretic Lacquer Coating

Electrophoretic lacquer coating is an organic coating method in which the surface treatment is carried out by electric current.

The coating contains polymeric resin, paint, solvents and diluents. The resin — usually 10–20% — is the backbone of the coating and provides corrosion protection. Solvents provide a smooth film appearance and easy application.
